BookBump

So, in the grand tradition of LibraryThing and GoodReads, I’ve just now discovered BookBump. It’s a website for keeping track of one’s books, but with even less of a social networking aspect than any of the others, it’s purely personal, as near as I can tell, and is essentially an iTunes for books. As you can see from the above screenshot (that I swiped from their site ’cause I don’t know how to take screenshots myself) the interface is pretty much directly torn from iTunes.
Now, me being obsessive compulsive, this certainly appeals to me a good deal. On the other hand, I haven’t even touched LibraryThing (which I spoke so glowingly about once upon a time) in months, due mostly to my complete and total addiction to GoodReads. BookBump still has some kinks to work out: for one, I can’t figure out how to delete a book, I’d also love it if one could put in a basic guess as to when read, instead of needing to input only a starting and ending day. But despite some other little things like that, it seems like a good deal of fun for us crazies who feel a great need to input information about things we like.
EDIT: A major (well, major to me anyway) problem that I just discovered with BookBump… if one clicks on the “Author” column to alphabetize one’s books by author, it is done by first name. If anyone knows that this can be changed, please tell me. Also, there seems to be no way to edit book information oneself, which sucks if this or that bit of info as listed as N/A, or if a certain edition of a book isn’t up there.
